When the issue is internal vs. when advisory support is needed
How to know when a workflow challenge is something your team can solve internally versus when external strategy support would accelerate results.

Why this guide matters to you

Digital health implementation in Nigerian hospitals is shaped by more than software alone: unstable power, limited devices, variable internet quality, staff turnover, National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) processes, and weak post-deployment support all affect whether a system actually works day to day. This guide accounts for those realities.

Who Created This Guide

Shakira Tomiwa, Founder of Digital Health Workflow Advisory

Shakira Tomiwa is the Founder of Digital Health Workflow Advisory and a digital health workflow strategist with over a decade of experience helping hospitals and clinics get real operational return from their technology investments. Her work across 50+ clinic implementations in the U.S. spans EMR workflow redesign, clinical team training, documentation optimization, and operational change management.

She founded DHWA to bring that proven methodology to Nigerian and African healthcare organizations closing the same gap she has spent her career on: the distance between investing in digital tools and seeing those tools produce daily results for teams and patients. For Shakira, this work is personal. As a founder of Nigerian heritage, she believes hospitals and clinics across Nigeria deserve the same quality of digital health strategy as the largest U.S. health systems.
